Farm Fest is a two-day educational celebration bringing Clark County’s 3rd–5th graders face-to-face with Nevada’s agricultural roots. Students will explore local food systems, ranching traditions, gardening, and animal care through hands-on learning stations and live demonstrations.on – Dairy science, tribal food traditions, nutrition games, money-management lessons at the “farm stand,” and more.
Farm Fest Highlights include:
- Equestrian Performances – La Escaramuza Charra Colibríes de Nevada, Moapa Valley HS/JH Rodeo Club, and Las Vegas HS/JH Rodeo Team showcasing traditional Mexican horsemanship and rodeo skills.
- Interactive Learning Stations – From worm farms, pollinator gardens, and native plants to hydroponics, drones in agriculture, and food preservation.
- Animal Encounters – Livestock demonstrations with pigs, goats, and chickens, plus horse grooming, farrier work, and roping demos.
- STEM & Food Education – Dairy science, tribal food traditions, nutrition games, money-management lessons at the “farm stand,” and more.
- Community Partners – Local farmers, Master Gardeners, UNLV, 4-H, Green Our Planet, Nevada Farm Bureau, and many others.
Farm Fest blends history, culture, science, and fun—offering students a hands-on look at where food comes from, how animals are cared for, and how agriculture connects us all.
